Ruby Nell (Sims) Odland

Ruby Nell Odland, 78 of Amarillo, Texas, passed away June 25, 2025 in Blessing, Texas. Those who knew her experienced the joy, kindness, love and beauty that she exhibited throughout her life.

Ruby was born in Albertville, Alabama to Arbie Buford Sims & Lucille Joy Alexander.  Her career included various areas of employment and those known were; Pest Exterminator, Levi Strauss, IBP, Kmart, Food King and 31 years at BSA Hospital. 

She was preceded in death by her brother Arbie Sims Jr.; son David Vincent Noe; her parents Arbie Sims Sr. and Lucille Reneau.  

Ruby is survived by her daughter Cheryl Denise Martinez and husband Adam Sr.; son John Trujillo and wife Diana; sisters Joyce Johnson and Ruth Hart; son-in-law John Patzkowski; 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. 

She was followed in death by her oldest daughter Brenda Sue Patzkowski on June 29, 2025.
