Obituary
On Tuesday, October 23, 1945, two sons were born to the now late Irving Batties and Menervia Ferrel Batties, in Markham, Texas. One of the sons was named Johnnie L. Batties. He shared his upbringing with his siblings, other relatives, and friends.
He grew up in the community of his birth. There he attended public school along with his schoolmates.
Throughout life Johnnie L. held firm to his belief in God and kept the faith.
His earthly journey came to an end on Saturday September 3, 2022, in Bay city, Texas.
He leaves behind two sisters Behula Brown and Joann Brown and one sister-in-law, Angela Rene Battise, all of Bay city, Texas. Also, a host of niece’s nephews other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his loving parents, Irving Barries and Menervia Batties four sisters Vivian brown Whalon, Mary Alice Brown Barnes, Christine Johnson, and Daisy Anderson: three brothers, Johnnie B. Batties, Paul Batties, and Lawrence Batties: one brother-in-law W.J. Whalon.
