(1st Stop)
On July 09,1962, a baby boy pulled into his first stop, in Fort Hood, TX. His parents Henry Davis Brinkley Sr and Wilada Fields named him Henry David Brinkley Jr. He received an abundance of love and support from his grandparents Tommie and Annie Fields and Powell and Rebecca Brinkley while growing up with his siblings, cousins and friends on POWELL Ranch in Sugar Valley, Texas.
(2nd Stop)
He accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. David recommitted his soul to Christ, through the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Cedar Lane TX under the leadership and divine guidance of Pastor Michael Riddick II. He was determined that after being absent from the body, he would be present with the Lord.

David attended public school in Van Vleck, TX and Bay City Independent School District. He graduated from Bay City High School in 1980. Upon graduating, he attended TSTI (Texas State Technical Institute) Waco TX. His admiration for livestock was shown in his years of experience working on the ranch in Sugar Valley. He was admired and well respected in the agricultural community for his abilities and achievements in agriculture. David became an owner operator truck driver in the moving industry. He drove millions of miles from state to state for 42 years until health declined.

In July of 2011, David met Brenda Antoine working on a job site in Houston, TX. They married on September 21, 2013. They vowed to stay together for better or worse for richer or for poorer in sickness and in health and even unto death. They shared their lives in love until his untimely and unforgettable departure. His love for Brenda, his children and grandchildren were the utmost joys of his living. David was affectionately known as (DeeDee) and was loved by many. He exemplified Proverbs 18:24 which says” a man who has friends must himself be friendly”. David was a devoted football fan of the Dallas Cowboys (How bout them Cowboys).
(Last and Final Stop)
David’s last stop was not where he took his last breath, his last and final stop was when he pulled into heavens gates. He heard the master say, well done my good and faithful servant. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Brinkley, Sr.; stepfather, K. D. Green; grandparents, Tommie and Annie Williams Fields Powell and Rebecca Davis Brinkley Phillip and Lettie Allen Green; and a nephew, Jahvi Thrift. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Brinkley; four daughters, Latasha Jackson (Rodney), Dekia Brinkley, Shamaria Bowens, and Schedreeca Alexander; three sons, Jamael Brinkley, Trenton Brinkley, and JaMarcus Walker; a devoted mother, Wilada Fields Green; a loving mother-in-law, Bobby Antoine; five sisters, Teresa Wiggins (Paul), Rebecca Baker (Edmond Sr.) Angaleak Southall (Craig), Stacy Green, Jana Jones (Ricky), and Tanya Brinkley; three brothers, Tracy Brinkley, DeWayne Stradic, and Desi Lewis; sixteen grandchildren, Jamyra, Tashya, Amyra, Rashaud, Rodney Jr., Kamyra, Paveon, Macyn, Skylar, Rylie, Reign, Amir, Samir, JaMarcus Jr, Jayce and D’Liyah; one great grandchild, Annisty; four aunts, Betty Fields Plummer, Ida Fields Emanuel, Eddie Percy Green Miller, and Annie Green Bratcher; one uncle, James Brinkley; two god-sisters, Jackie Thornton and Lawren Dailey. He also leaves to mourn a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends that have become family over the years.
