Dennis Earl Johnson, Sr.

Dennis Earl Johnson Sr. was born in Oakwood Texas on January 19, 1949, to Edward Johnson and Lillie Bell Butler Johnson. As a teenager Dennis relocated to Palestine, Texas. Dennis worked for Anderson County Precinct 4 for several years before relocating to the Houston area and later Bay city, Texas.

Dennis was a family man who oved his siblings, and children dearly. He was always willing to go the extra mile to help in any way he could. Dennis loved fishing and would often go several times a week until his health declined. He also loved listening to music, taking walks and riding his bike.

Dennis is proceeded in death by his parents, Lillie and Edward Hohn son, brother Earnest P. Johnson Sr. and granddaughter Brittany L. Johnson. Dennis leaves to cherish his memory four children, Arphelia Calhoun (Carl), Dennis Johnson Jr., Marcellia Thurman (Alex) and Jessikay Walton (Glenn). Four brothers William Johnson, Turley Johnson, Richard Johnson (Hattie), and Jerry Johnson (Gwen). Four sisters Lily Johnson, Brenda Johnson, Renna Johnson, and Dorothy Johnson. Twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
