Cecelia Hebert Obituary

Cecelia Williams, Hebert; born December 22, 1929; returned to her heavenly home on May 26, 2023, in Cypress, Texas. Born to Isadore Williams and Susie Perkins Williams in Jennings, LA. She accepted Christ at an early age. She met and married Leroy Hebert Sr. in Houston, Texas on April 13, 1959.

She attended Franklins Beauty School and became a licensed cosmetologist. Her greatest asset was being a mom and wife. She also supported her husband as an evangelist and a First Lady for many years and travelled from state to state. She was a member of Evangelist Temple C.O.G.I.C, for many years, under the pastoring of the late Rev. Joe Nelson with her later husband, Rev. Leroy Hebert. After his death she attended Deep Water Ministries, under the watchful eye of her now pastor and spiritual Son Apostol Damien Blevins and his wife her spiritual daughter Pastor Shelly Blevins; where she was Church Mother, Sunday School Teacher, and Missionary. She also enjoyed visiting carious churches her last attendance was to the George r. Brown Convention Center on Mother’s Day for service featuring recording artist, Tamela Mann; sponsored by Keion Henderson, pastor of the Light House Church. She also enjoyed the daily home bible teachings with Keion on his live stream; and her last sermon shared and watched with her daughter was “Make it make Sense! She rejoiced and praised God for her life and all that she had seen in her lifetime.

Cecelia a/k/a Nana to many was as wise as she was old and even though she did not say she new her time was growing to a close she did what she always did. She gave God the glory, called and spoke to family, close and old friends. She prayed God’s blessings for all and went to sleep.

Nana leaves to mourn 3 children: Robert Frank Jr., of DeQuincy, LA, Leroy Hebert Jr. and wife Marilyn Govern of Fresno, CA Denise R. Spicer and spouse Victor Spicer of Cypress, Texas, and Samuel B. Hebert of Merced, CA. 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren and a host of spiritual children and grandchildren family and friends.
