On June 27, 1942, a baby boy was born in Sargent, Texas, to Eddie Griggs, Sr., and Rosalie Bell Griggs, whom they named Albert Griggs. He was the fourth oldest of seventeen children born to this union. He was affectionately called "Buddy Red" by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to mourn his most precious memories his siblings, Ida Moore, Viola Grice, Catherine McPherson (Eric), Eddie Griggs (Diane), Elroy Griggs (Sharon), Lottie Casey, Lewis Griggs (Vivian), Benjamin Griggs, Shearly Scott, Ola Times, and Carolyn Griggs; Sister-in-law Bettie Smith godsons, Rondell Griggs and Jarvis Griggs; and an enormous family which includes nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
